on my table as best I can measure it is 274mm centre to centre

I make it 275mm but I don't think we should argue about 1mm.

I actually have one of those tops surplus to requirements - I have been meaning to put it on the Market Place.

The first version of the 2000 biscuit jointer (BJA001) was in fact designed to go on the table you have. So I presume you have a later version?
There will be others like me who changed their biscuit jointer to fit onto the RTA300 router table, and who unlike me may still have the pieces you need to convert it to fit on your router table. (I kept mine for a while but think I have now tossed them)

Not sure if it is too late, but you do not need a 50mm hole on the old series table.

I bought a biscuit joiner about 10 years ago, but only opened the box this week so it is fresh in mind.

For the earlier models you unscrew the plastic "Pivot Boss" and reverse it and then only need a 6mm hole.

As stated by others, I measure this to be 275mm +/_ 1mm centre to centre. The instructions actually measure this as 207mm from the pivot point to the end of the Jigsaw blade slot.

The other holes are 280mm apart, centred on the router centre and 15mm below the top of the table, although you should be able to measure them off the Spring Return mechanism as they need to align with that.

There is a Template showing these measurements which you can tape to your table to drill through, although these measurements should work.
Note that they say the Template is only suitable if "your table must have both red plastic slide catches and screen printed calibration scales for the fence." (No idea why!)


I can scan and send, although it is larger that A4 so you will need to do a bit of cut and paste to use it. Let me know if you want it.

I realised I didn't answer your specific question about the distance from the edge of the fence. (Although I think the correct answer is to determine the centre and work back from there).

It is 130mm from each side. This works with my table which is 440mm wide (2 x 130mm + 180mm between centres = 440mm)

Obviously if your table width is different you will need to centre it as per the Pivot hole.

I have scanned the Template. Even if you don't use it as a template, it does have the measurements and some useful information. It is one page, double sided and the "Step" numbers will give the order although the last page is just an advertisement for a new table. There is only a small overlap, but hopefully enough to join it up.
