Default Is this a MOF001 part?

My Triton MOF001 router was getting a bit sticky in the router table so I decided to follow Ray Girling’s excellent instructions and give it a clean.
I took out the brushes, removed the circlip on top of the post, removed the micro wind handle and clutch and turned it over to remove the four body screws and this fell out.
It is 8mm in diameter and 3 mm thick. It’s soft steel.

I have had a look at the exploded parts view (damn small and pixelates to hell when you blow it up)and can’t see it and I can’t see anywhere it would fit for what I had removed.

I have put it back together and it runs fine and does all it should do. I just wonder if it’s something that fell in off the router table as I use it as a bench sometimes.

Are these any better quality than what you have been looking at?

    Thanks Keith.
First diagram is the same as I have. Second link doesn’t show that part so it’s looking good
I’ve PMd Ray as he’s the guru on these routers.

    And the winner is!!!

    Chism3

Beauty bottler - thats it. The mark perfectly matches the bottom of plunge lock screw (now I’ve taken it out to install the pad). The other thing is it says in the link that it’s copper but it attracts a magnet and is silver?)

    Thanks

Must be a later addition for as you say, because it doesn’t show on the parts diagram I had.

What I did notice ( in the interim), without it you can lock the plunge lock but still adjust the height , albeit with a little effort, with the micro adjuster. Now it’s rock solid.

    All back together again

    Gotta love this forum
