Thanks for the update on "News fromTriton"
I've only just got hold of a Triton Workcentre and bought a new Triton TA235 saw that is in the post presently but they have been near impossible to locate, they are literally as scarce as hen's teeth but hoping it will be much better than the old makita I've presently got. I tried several of the major toolshops in Brisbane recently and generally they couldn't supply anything Triton at all let alone a 9 x1/4" saw which is coming from Melbourne.Found out since Carba-tech do supply them but not listed in their catalogue, anyway thanks for the info as I guess a lot of people are wondering where triton's headed, cheers

ebay has an Australian triton shop
Hello,
There is an Aussie company called cheaptools on ebay who have sold lots of Triton stuff, and usually have auctions going on various Triton gear.
Might be worth a look.

Reply to Toymaker Len
Hi, in your query re-triton saws on ebay,I've just bought one from ebay and arrived today and yes they are made in China and came from Bairnsdale, Victoria, but fortunately it arrived intact in 2 cartons and foam inserts so is really well packed with this tool,I surmise it has come from Bairnsdale Electrics but that's not the sellers user name and has been mentioned they are Triton agents as well as Carba-tech who I've here at Wakerley to be very helpful and their catalogues which show some of their Triton range and also being able to download various Triton User Manuals especially for the Workcentre that I've just obtained, hope this is of some help, cheers

Triton Hand Planer
Hi Folks,
Triton have for sale a hand planer with a planing width of 180mm. the cutter block has 3 disposable blades (double sided) and it looks remarkably like the old GMC that was for sale at Deals direct. Maybe someone who needs blades for their GMC could follow up this thread, and contact Triton to see if the spare blades are available, and at what price.
