My old 9" Makita is just too wobbly to get good cuts anymore so I just fitted my Hitachi c7sb2 with a 2mm kerf blade to my triton. I spent a bit of time getting it exactly aligned to the fence and well within 0.5mm accuracy, which I confirmed by ripping some waste. However, quite by chance when I was revisiting the accuracy and precision of the protractor, I noticed the riving knife was binding the timber on the protractor side. Sure enough the riving knife was about 0.7-1.0mm proud of the outside cutting edge of the saw blade, which is why I never had any problems with my old 9" 3mm blade
I'm just having a winge because I have to realign the saw to the riving knife that 1 bloody mm since tomorrow I start on a new order all needing the extension table, which of course is going to bind on the knife unless I move it Hey, at least the table fence will cut oversize by 1mm instead of undersize. (I refuse to buy another blade-just yet)
