    Default planer attachment

tried the planer attachment out today for the first time ,the wb2000 kept wanting to tip over has any one else had this problem or am i doing some thing wrong (ie pushing to hard?) the planer is on the over hang side of the wb, if it was on the other side would it be more directly over the legs i think it would be more stable what are your thoughts

Did you have the saw still mounted in the WC ?

This helps with counter balancing the planer attachment.

Youhaven't got a problem. It's a known issue. It's not the greatest of the Triton attachments.

Well, the attachments definitely worth getting are:

    height winder kit
    dust bag
    dust bucket (with Sturdee mod)
    extension table
(and make your own cross cut sled)

The planer does have it's fans and works OK in place of a jointer. Just remember it has limitations.

When I got the planer attachment for my MK3 workcentre the Triton manual that came with the adaptor kit needed for the MK3 suggested building an extra support (and provided plans) to counteract the tendency for it to fall over.

For details see the following thread http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ghlight=planer

I didn't mention Finger Jointers or biscuit joiners etc - they are attachments for the Router Table, not the WC.

Apart from the Triton site and the pics on it, I don't know where else you can look. There is an article in the June newsletter on box making with the finger jointer here:

The Sturdee mod converts the dust bucket in to a mini cyclone style collector and is MUCH more efficient. Do a search in these forums and you'll find heaps written about it. The instructions are in the October newsletter at www.tritonwoodworkers.org.au

My suggestion - just do it !

As for the missing bolts, no. I've got a lot of Triton styuff and never had any problem. I wonder if your box was opened before. I never get packages from Bunnies etc if they look like they've been stick-taped back up. You nver know what's gone missing.

I posted the details of the Sturdee dust bucket modification on this board as follows :
http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.co...et&pagenumber=3 and the full details of how to make it are in the October Newsletter of the Holmesglen Triton Woodworkers Club which can be downloaded from:http://www.tritonwoodworkers.org.au/

In addition a schematic drawing made by Hem is posted on the board at http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.co...42513#post42513

There are many members who have done the modification and are satisfied with it and I am sure you will be as well.
