I've owned my triton2000 since Sept '99 and I am on my second saw . . . I use it a lot and because of this, I've managed to convince SWMBO that I can't do without this, or that attachment . . . which means I have plenty of addons at my beck and call.

My only misgiving about getting a triton is that I cannot change the angle of the saw blade to the tabletop . . . sure, I have the bevel attachment which works well on small and medium sized edge cuts, but for larger or cuts that won't fit on the beveller, I had to go purchase a second circular saw to do cuts on larger / wider / heavier jobs.

How /who do we talk to at triton about adding another feature to the table, so that we can swing the blade from 90 thru to say 30 degrees to the table top? I'd beat a path to the door to buy the first one to do it.

would make life a lot simpler IMOHO
    Me and Power Tools,
    We still don't mix . . .

    My favourite tool??
    Any 4lb hammer.

Take a look at the new small triton table - it may be able to do this, but its only a 7-and-a-bit inch blade

Although if you look at the new small table that comes with the 7 inch saw...there is nothing stopping you changing it to a 9 incher later on.

The gap left when you take out the black plastic infil plate will be really big though - you might need to cut a new plate - or something.

That new small table has an optional extra plate and fence for converting to a router table as well. So it would be handy for one not needing both.

But alas....non of our favorite goodies (Finger/Biscuit joiner or Jigsaw kit) will fit. Great for really basic routing etc. A good starter package.

Bunnings Bayswater had it on display this morning and all their stores should have them. I was told Triton started shipping them last week.

It has a factory fiitted 7 1/4" Triton saw which can be removed for hand use. It allows for the following optional items, Sliding extension table, Bevel ripping guide and Router with a router fence. The wider saw opening also allows you to angle the saw blade up to about 30 degrees.

Good value for a beginner at $ 299. (I think that was the price).
