Rip fence for Triton MK3
Hi,
Just wondering about a couple of things. Does anyone have an issue with making sure the rip fence is parallel with the blade? Do you just follow the ruler and make sure it's correct to the mm and that's good enough, or have you found you have to buy or make a custom one?
Also, do you have to do anything to ensure the saw blade itself is square with the table, or is that pretty much ensured when you mount it the proper way?
Cheers

Hi Yoboseyo,
I expect that the mk3 is similar to the 2000 I have and you do need to align the saw to the table. I'm sure someone will explain about aligning the blade with a dial guage. I've just used a rule, and I'm sure it could be better, but it's OK.
What I actually planned to tell you is that I use a magnifying glass to see the scale better when setting the fence. Still not perfect, but I'm more confident like that than just by eye.
Now for some experts to come in and set us both straight.
Peter

My Triton has been in hibernation for a while but I always had a issue with making sure the fence was parallel with the blade, this was one reason why I upgraded to a contractors type table saw
The triton was a good tool for me for many years and given by SWMBO as a birthday gift

When I had a Triton MK3 I used a feeler gauge to get it exactly right. If you look at my thread from 2007 on saw alignment it may help you.
Peter.
