Router Mounting into Triton Router Table
G'Day Good People
Can someone advise asto how to Securely Mount the Routers into/onto the Triton Router Table.
I have loose screws all the time:eek:
I'm considering using 2 Pieces of 3/4Inch angle,
Sandwiching the Router Base onto the Triton Router Plate.
I see having a 7/8"inch Block [4 in all]; Drill and Tapped both Top and Bottom;
and Sandwiching the Router Base between the ANGLE and the Base Plate.
With my Routers there are a couple of Holes in the body which I can screw the Angle to the Router Baseplate.
HEY:confused: :eek:
What a mouthful
But I know what I'm thinkingNavvi

Roter mount
Hi Ivan
One I've got has a black metal mounting plate the width of the router table and say 300mm long that the router mounts to (hangs off) fastened by four lugs and wingnuts. This sits on the sides of the table on four square legs - the table then mounts over the top of this...
Are you using the black mounting plate?
Cheers
Jedo

Yes, Jedo,
Using the Black [Baked Enamel????] mounting Plate and the "L" and "U" Brackets with the Roundhead Bolts and their WingNuts.
These keep Loosening off all the time..........
Well when I do some work anyway.
And they ARE Tight to start with!!!!Navvi

I assume we are talking the older router table.
Simple solution (I have done this!) - mark out the same holes on that base that the quick release bolts on the Triton router engage on the new table / workcentre, and cut these out. You get a quick release router, and it stays rock solid (and is always perfectly aligned anytime you remove and replace the router).
Here's mine."Clear, Ease Springs"

G'Day Stuert,
Yes, Old Mk 3
I'm unsure EXACTLY asto how you did yours;
......not simple enough.......
But it has sure given me an idea or 2 asto how to try a different method using what I think you did.
SCHAFFY, Ta,
I've tried Flat washers and/ or Spring Washers.
I'll just stick with it.
Will photo when I get something which works.....for meNavvi

Don't forget to check the simple things first. - Is it vibrating? I have replaced a lot of my Triton screws with Stainless Steel bolts and Nyloc Nuts = No problems.

Try contacting your local demonstrator in toowoomba - maybe you could go to his demos. I know you're not in Toowoomba but maybe he could help. I'll send you his contact details.

Thanks Ppl
G'Day George, and ALL Others
Thanks for the input, it got me Sparked into "Trying Harder"
Looks like I might have solved Half the problem.
It appears that I have been using the Saw mounting Fixtures
to [try] and mount the Router
I have located some BEEFIER Mounting Brackets which are MUCH more suited to the Routers
These were in an unopened Plastic bag
And YES!! Wing nuts are Pliers Tight
Now to get another set of these Mounting Brackets;
that'll be the easy part!Navvi
