Router Table Safety
In the hope that someone from Triton logs on to this site -
It would be a good idea if Triton supplied with their router table a large red tag that could be clipped to the handle of the router when it's installed in the table. It should be engraved with "Danger! the swith on this router is in the ON position".
Just to jog the old memory.
I have had my router in the table for ages then took it out to work freehand on the bench. Put in cutter with plug out of socket, pushed plug into socket and nearly wet myself. The router was upright sitting on the job but, fortunately, I had put it onto a recess. It did a couple of slow revolutions while getting up to speed, wrapping the cable around itself which stopped it.
I now have a home made reminder tag that I plan to put on every time I put the router into the table. The wording is slightly different to that suggested above. - "The !@##$%$ switch is probably ON you stupid bastard!!"Badger - A gruff short tempered animal that sleeps most of the winter

Just another reason to buy a Triton router.....you have to switch it off on the machine to change the bit...
