RTA Jigsaw Jig
I purchased the RTA 300 Router table and have fitted a Triton jigsaw attachment to it.
I've generally been impressed with the quality of both.
However, on using the jigsaw for the second time I struck disappointment: I needed to raise the arm that supports the dust extractor hose/guide system - I was jigsawing 40mm Oregan.
I found that the arm would not stay in place and kept slipping down.
After gently nipping up the clamp that supports the arm - the plastic clamp underneath snapped(!)
I couldn't believe it - with so lttle pressure the clamping arrangement failed - it seems the pastic part that clamps the arm is both fragile and brittle and not up to the job.
A different non brittle material would probably solve the problem.
Have other Triton owners had similar problems? If so what is the fix - because this component is doomed to failure every time!!
