Default Selecting Triton TRA001 router plunge modes

Hello, I have recently acquired a Triton TRA001 and have mounted it under a table, after removing the spring.

The plunge mode select button shown on the instruction manual and on various YouTube instruction videos have a push-in plunge mode selector button to engage the Handle winder Plunge mode.

However, my router does not have a button, rather a selector switch that turns, with two positions.

Can anyone please advise the function of this selector switch, and the correct position for me to use a Handle Winder Plunge and the Micro Adjuster when it is table mounted?
    regards,

    Dengy

thanks for this link wood86. I have previously seen this one, but it is not very specific in relation to the handle winding and micro adjusting of height. The commentator appears to have a speech impediment, and it does not show the functions of the 2 position switch on the handle, although it indicates that you turn it clockwise from the horizontal position for a free plunge mode.

Hi, I did find a web sites here and here that did explain how to select the free plunge mode in detail, but nothing about how to use the selector switch for the Handle winder Plunge mode and using the Micro Adjuster.

For the free plunge mode, you turn the switch clockwise, then push it in (with some inherent difficulty), then turn it some more. This locks the rack and pinion out, which seems a strange way of doing so. I would have thought that you unlock it to go into free plunge mode.

In selecting the Handle Winder Plunge mode, I presume you turn it ant-clockwise. Do you have to push the switch in too?

Many thanks for that scanned extract, Hugh, it is exactly what I was after.

Following the instructions, I was able to select the handle winder plunge mode OK. The trick is in pushing the body of the router up ( from under the table) - the yellow rotary switch then clicks into position nicely
