Default Series 2000 biscuit cutter and RTA300 table

Are they compatible. I just "aquired" a biscuit joiner, and without actually fitting it the instructions don't seen to be written with the RTA300 in mind. Is there an upgrade kit?

Off to the Triton site now to see what I can see.

    Thanks

    Adam

Well that was short and sweet, how can we hijack the thread?

Hmmm, but it seems that I have a BJA001 and I need a BJA300. Don't suppose anyone there has the opposite problem and wants to swap

Not at all, he just answered too late

ok gumby, i will concede that at the time of your posting you were correct in that he said he had answered his own question, and very quickly too, but seing that he still has a problem it seems that you did speak too soon.

see how easy it is to hijack a thread from biscuit joiners into english expression

All right guys, seems threads are easily hijacked , but anyway...

Does anyone know what mods are required to make a series 2000 Biscuit joiner suit a RTA300 table (or if it is possible).

    Cheers

The triton site makes no mention of a series 2000 biscuit joiner. it mentions bja300 and bja 001. you said earlier you have a bja001. this is an old model and is not made for the series 2000 gear. anything can be modified to anything, sometimes drastic measures are required, which may render one of the things unsuitable for its other functions. ive never seen a bja001 so i cant advise any further.

    Adam,
You have been sent up the Garden Path. You can adapt the BJA001 to suit the RTA300, this http://www.triton.net.au/cgi-bin/faq...w.cgi?index=34 says
The Biscuit Joiner model BJA001 must be adapted to allow fitting to the Router Table - RTA300. The required adaptor kit (part no. BJA250) can be ordered through your local Triton outlet.
. When you get you adaptor kit, make sure that the base on alloy pin is the updated one. You will be able to tell if is 10-15mm long, the original one for the 2000 table is about 25-35mm long(from memory). I had two people approach me on the same day with the same problem, if you didn't get the shorter based pin you have two options, ring Triton and get them to send the right one or pull the long one out and grind it down if you find you can't wait. If you need the correct lenght just send me a message.

    Doug,

You are right, there is no Series 2000 Router Table, I don't know where the reference came from for that, it just seems to happen.
