Use the sliding extension and fence at the same time?
Having seen some demonstrations of the sliding extension table I never noted or asked if the 2000's own fence can still be used while the extension is attached. Is this possible or does the extension table have to be removed first?
Just wondered if you can rip thin pieces then move onto larger ones without doing anything except removing the workcentres own fence.

You - could - use both, but you would have to use the 2000 fence on the right hand side of the blade & use the 'auxiliary' stick on guage markers. If both were on the same side it wouldn't work.
An even better thing is that you can use the sliding table with the router table top fixed to the 2000 base. Ditto the Bevel Ripping guide can be used to rout a profile at an angle when used with the router table top on the 2000.

So once the extension is attached it prevents access to the 2000's fence arm guides? I was hoping you could still slide it in if you just needed to do a quick rip of a small piece.

You can have both on if you want... the arms of the standard supplied fence will span over frame of the extension table - in the same way you would fit it if you were using the standared fence to calibrate the extension table etc.

All you have to do is to lift the sliding extension table off the rails to put the standard fence on but you can leave the rails in place.

When I have the sliding extension table attached and I need to cut a thinner piece I use either a 400mm spacer board or a 200mm spacer board. This way I can cut thin strips as well as larger ones just by adding or removing the spacer boards.

Hi intheshed,
yes you can use it while the extension table is set up.
I just lock the extension in the lock tabs and put in the fence.
I have never had a problem
