    Wink Triton Prices

The old beat the other price by 10% trick still works at Bunnings & H.W.House.This morning I priced a mini extension table at Bunnings Croydon-$209, at H.W.H.Croydon $228. They (H.W.H.) were quite happy to sell it to me for $188 (Bunnings price)less10%.I also noticed that Bunnings price for super jaws is $199 and H.W.H $197. so Bunnings should sell for $179.
It appears that although they have hopped into bed together the marriage has not yet to be consumated! Or perhaps it is a cunning plot to make sure we buy from one or the other. Anyway I am very happy with my buy. :

Good on ya John, good to see someone having a win on prices.
I was in my local Mitre 10 the other day and saw a Stanley No5 try plane marked on the bar code for $110 but when I took it to the check out he scanned it up at $140 so I pulled him up on it and showed him the bar code price.
Apparently they got the plane in for someone and then he didn't want it so it looks like they were trying to recoup their cost @ $140
which is the market price going for this model plane.
After much consternation on his part he finally agreed to the $110 so we can all have wins if we stick to our guns.
    Cheers

    Cool

works over here too and at other places - timber sellers.
    Another tip...
If you are able to, and the store takes plastic -not the eftpost kind, but creditcards like visa dinners etc, ask how much discount for cash - the stores pay for the creditcard transactions and you can usually get another 2.5% off for cash. "och aye the noo".
    Good luck.
