Default Out of square bevels on skirting

Hi all, I am a newbie to the world of Triton workbench ownership. I have messed around with hand-tools (quite in-accurately, and with much frustration) for years, but decided after buying another house which needs some work that the WC2000 was the way to go. I also bought the 235mm Triton saw to go with it (and the router table but haven't had a chance to play with that yet). My problem is, after trying to bevel the ends of some colonial profile skirting board, the ends are not square with each other. I used the WC in cross cut mode, with the saw set at the 45 degree bevel setting, and whilst the "thick" end of the skirting appears to be square, the "thin" end seems to be on a slight angle to the rest of the cut. I have checked the saw to make sure it's square in the chassis, and have tried thinking what else it could be, but am out of ideas. If I cut at 90 degrees, everything looks ok when checked with my square, so not sure if I'm missing something obvious (I usually am in situations like this I've found...)
    Thanks for any hints.

Try clamping the work to the table, sometimes 45º cuts the work can slip sideways.
BTW you would make mitre cuts in skirting for external corners, but not internal corners. For internal corners use a scribed joint - search the forums for those!

    Cheers

Thanks Michael, I didn't know about using scribed joints for internal corners, will have to practice up on my coping saw skills by the look of it!!
    Cheers,
    Phil
