    Default Sturdee Fence for Workcentre.

For some time I have been envious of the fences I see on tablesaws. They are longer and taller than the fence on the Mk3 workcentre.
Also tablesaw fences, because of their shape and size, are suitable for use with push shoes, which slide on top of the fence, rather than using pushsticks.
The Series 2000 fence is slightly better in that you can use the fence with a modified push shoe by modifying the jig shown in the video.
However as I still proudly use the Mk3 I have modified my fence. The unit is made out of chipboard and is clamped onto the original fence. The side nearest the saw and the top runners are laminated with plastic laminate to provide a smooth surface.
To use the workcentre measurements scale all I need to do is add 10mm to the dimension I need to cut as the extra width between the original fence and the saw blade is exactly 10mm.

The first picture shown the original fence.

    Nice mod mate.
It looks like you can even store stuff inside the fence too. Ingenious!
How much wood could the woodchuck chuck if the woodchuck could chuck wood?
