    Default TA235CSL Saw Trigger Fault

Early 2010 I bought a TA235CSL saw new on eBay and a WorkCentre 2000 from Grays Online, presumably liquidation of the GMC Australia stock in both cases.

The saw did not work out of the box, and after contacting the seller he advised that there was a known fault with the trigger, and that jerking it on quickly a few times would solve the problem. He was right, a few hard jerks and there was a sudden click as though something had fallen into place.

I haven't used the saw much, mainly because I'm so disappointed in the table itself, it appears I got a dud there as well with an inaccurate fence that I have found references to here.

Anyway, I fire up the saw today and the trigger problem has returned, however took about 10 minutes of mucking around with it to get it to reseat.

Is there a permanent fix for this? I've combed the forum and surprised that apart from some references nearly 10 years ago, this isn't such a common problem.

Any experiences to share? I've tried to contact Carbatec about the fence issue but no reply, and Triton UK don't reply either.

    Default Trigger

Yep, I've had a similar problem. Waiting for it to be fixed locally. Spoke to Carbatec on the phone and they said they had the part in stock.
Whether it is the same or a rectified trigger, they didn't say.

    Cheers,

    TA

The reason you found just about no references to this problem, is that I would say most members have the previous TSA001 model that was made in Taiwan - It had very few problems if any. The newer models are all made in China.

    Default trigger

Sorry, but Carbatec doesn't have the part. Have to try the UK.
I also have the first model and it has no problems - but this one (TA235CSL) - goodness me - have I wasted my money? Does anyone know of a substitute mechanism for the trigger switch?
