    Default TRA001 base plate

Hi I've recently purchased the mentioned router which somehow came with the plastic base/bottom plate off a MOF001 which is smaller

has anybody got a dead TRA001 that still has this plate that they could part with

similarly the plate I have might help someone else out with their MOF001

we might be lucky enough to do a swap

Bad news I'm afraid. Couldn’t find it in the drawer of router parts, then remembered that it was cracked so got binned. I do have an early Kreg rectangular plate with a couple of screw-in opening reducers. It is drilled for the Triton screw pattern, and has the hole for the height adjuster. You could use it in a table or as a permanent base. Its yours for the same low price if you want it.

I may have something. I will check tonight when back home. I do have a dead TRA001 (somewhere).

Have you considered making one from a bit of acrylic? If you have the original screws it would need to be about 6mm thick to allow the heads to sit in counterbores but if you replace the screws with countersunk headed ones you can drop down to 4mm, possibly 3mm. The loss of available plunge depth is pretty negligible.

I had to make my own baseplate a few years ago when I needed to be able to use a 30mm Trend guide bush; in my case accuracy was paramount so a drill press was essential but if yours is just to provide a running surface then any type of hand drill will be fine.

This is the base I have. There is a small piece of damage to the inner circle as shown, but I don't believe it would affect the operation. If you think it will suit, PM me your address and I will post it to you.
