Thread: TRA001: Height adjustment on new Triton router not smooth

Hi all ) I just bought a new Triton TRA001 router and am experiencing issues with the height adjustment: When using the table height winder, initially the height adjustment runs smoothly as it should, but approximately half way up, it starts to experience significant tension before it suddenly makes a “jump” (height wise a couple of mm), tension is released and then it moves smoothly again rest of the way up. It feels like it is maybe jumping a thread on one of the two threaded bars to catch up with the other one (just a guess however)

Anyone who knows what could be wrong or if this is something I have to live with?

Background info:
* The router has never been used
* Router is table mount (Kreg insert plate)
* Have removed the plunge spring as per the manual
* Only experiencing this issue when adjusting height upwards - not downwards
* Initially reported the issue to the retailer who sent me a new one, but I am experiencing the same issue with the new one, grrr
