TRA001 - up and running
Some of you may recall that I was complaining about my TRA001.
The speed control did not seem to be operating properly.
It finally go to the stage that it would not turn on at all.
I finally bit the bullet and bought a new controller from Tritontools.uk.
Triton Precision Router TRA001, TRB001 Spares Price List
Was easy to install and powered up first go.
Now that I have retired (again) hope to get some use in 2021.
Not associated with Triton tools in any way, just want to suggest a source of parts for Triton if you need any.James,

I had the same problem with my MOF001 some years ago. I discarded it to the tool cupboard for a number of years thinking it wasn't worth the effort after reading some reports from people who had changed their speed controller and it didn't last long before it or something else electrical failed. I decided to bit the bullet too and order one as the machine was almost new with having done little work before failing. I think it is about 4 -5 years now since I replaced it and I haven't had a problem and love the convenience of this machine in a router table. Nowadays it gets used very regularly.

I'd love to bite the bullet and get a MOF/JOF, except that it doesn't seem to be available anywhere. Any ideas? Or anyone wants to get rid of theirs?

How long did delivery take? I have just ordered a speed controller from your link. I bought a second hand job and first go got the speed surges.

Unfortunately, Triton never did anything to correct what was clearly a design/manufacturing flaw with their speed controllers. I got a new replacement from the UK for my MOF-001 when the controller failed, fitted it just fine, router worked for 6 months of light use then the new speed controller went the same way as the original.
I gave some bits away as spares for other people, then trashed the carcase of the MOF-001....
