I'm really new to Triton products (having just started buying last year) so it's good to see the service on the drill problem is good.

Having seen the drill in Stradco a couple of weeks ago - I too, will be waiting/hoping for when they produce one alittle smaller and lighter. I thought the plunge action was a great idea.

Try 2 hours and you're closer to the mark.
    Anyone elses comments?
As they say, RTFM - I just bought mine, and page 6 of the operation manual says that the charger "must be reset prior to charging the next battery. Switch off the mains power for one minute" so we probably can't blame Triton for that one (annoying though it is)

Bunnings at Penrith had 3 on the shelf at 3:15 this afternoon (till I bought one of them) but they were in cases with the Triton stuff, NOT on display with the drills - Go figure!

Yep, saw that one in the manual. I'm talking about the fact that you take the charger out of the box, you plug it into the wall and then you have to switch the thing off and on a couple of times to get it to work. Not just when changing batteries.

    Default Triton Cordless Drill

I bought one today - I find that the clutch adjustment is very tight - it is very hard to twist it onto the hammer setting. Has anyone else had this and does it free up with use?
    regards

    Dereg,

I have not had the problem. I think others may have mentioned if the problem existed. Seems like an exchange if you ask me.

    Dereg,

I am just sitting and have a play with mine right now. It is a little stiff but easy enough to turn as required. Nothing like the ease of turning on my 3 yr old Ryobi cordless drill.

Can anyone advise what depth the plunger mechanism will alllow you to drill. Could it handle drilling through 100mm posts??

    Thanks for your advice

If you do a bit of searching, one of the forum members with the handle 'Eagle' has purchased all the available Triton spares in Australia & is setting up an e-Bay shop to sell them.

You should be able to get it repacked at a battery repacker shop over there in USA
I think eagle has been missing for around 5 weeks hasn't he?
