I'd be inclined to make one. The stock one isn't great as a blade cover - one carried on a side mounted arm would be better. The riving knife is a simple blade which could be made from 3mm aluminium or acrylic and ieither screw or pressure mounted like the original
Ours is not to reason why.....only to point and giggle.

Thanks I prefer to keep it original.

I have one for a MK3 model but it does not fit the 2000 track.

In the thread on GMC being in receivership there are instructions on how to order spare parts direct from GMC. From memory you ring them, order what you need and then deposit the money into the administrator's account. When they get the money your parts are shipped out. There are some names there of GMC staff who people contacted and who were able to help. I guess it just depends on whether the correct parts are in stock.

The other day I described to my daughter how to find something in the garage by saying "It's right near my big saw". A few minutes later she came back to ask: "Do you mean the black one, the green one, or the blue one?".

Peter thanks, I have sent Triton an email and left voice messages BUT no reply. No pint in sending them money unless they have them in stock and I know the price.

I am hoping someone out there has a spare they do not need.

Being in receivership does not mean they can not trade. I would think Triton is still a valuable entity but every day that passes Triton is losing value in loss trade and good will.

They are doing better then that. They are clearing there shelves and you can make an offer.

If anyone needs a stabilising bracket PM me I can sell for $20 plus postage. Send COD via Australia Post.

The deals are great. Just bought a brand new Triton Jigsaw for $90

    Hi Knockonwood,

Are you still looking for the riving knife/blade guard bracket (I think this what you are after).

If so I have a spare one, if you would like it.

    Regards Pauly

Thanks but I have managed to source the parts I need. Just picked up the last part today.

Mind you it cost me a pretty penny but I have most of the bits I want.
