At that price I'm almost tempted to get another, just for the hell of it! It is only Bunnings ditching stock after all, the router itself will still be in the marketplace for a long time to come, and back at the standard price I imagine, just not in any Green stores.

Why in the world would Bunnings drop what is independently reputed to be the World's Best router anyway? Oh wait, guess I answered my own question.

They are clearance items - think they get removed from the computer? Worth shopping around for, but be quick - I imagine the forum members swarming over each Bunnings like a pack of locusts, consuming all in their path!

Just to save other members the trouble, there's none in the three big green stores in Canberra ... I wonder if one of the other stores in, say, Sydney would send one down? The comment I got from here was that if they had to order them, it would be at the full price.

1400W is 2HP (or close enough), did you mean the 3HP (2400W)?

Just been to Bunnings Ashfield and there are only 2 routers on display, both the
    2400w model at $399

FWIW, there is a large rubbish skip in the carpark that is full of Dexion shelving bits and pieces plus a couple of pallet jacks.

I rang Bunnies at Hoppers Xing, should have saved my breath. She wanted to flog a GMC to me and quoted the standard prices. I wonder if she thought I was doing a price match? Oh well, too many routers anyway...sigh.

There is one at Shellharbour (Wollongong). I knocked it back as it is a shelf model with no accessories and I was only going to buy it if complete and throw it in a corner for some future date having four routers already. See Kevin in the tool shop, he knows all about it. I can't believe that they don't have the carton somewhere with all the bits in it but no one seemed interested in looking. BTW it took a phone call to the state office to convince them they had one at that price and the store manager rang me back to confirm it.
