Dunno 'bout the triton router but I'm on the look out for a GMC tile-cutter.
I'm trying to find a Bunno's that has stock as they will work beautifully in
my lutherie set-up. Just need to find one.

A tile cutter? What do you plan on using it for in lutherie?

If I divulge too much, the available stock is likely to quickly diminish
he he. Once I get one, I'll show all.
BTW Phil, you already have this particular set up sorted !!!!!!

Absolute rubbish
If you are buying it solely for home use then the Occupational H & S Act does not apply nor does the OH & S Act place any liability whatsoever upon the seller of the item. If it did, then no car manufacturer in Australia would ever sell you a vehicle in case they were liable when you have a collision because you didn't get supplied with floor mats or the cigarette lighter was missing.
The second thought that comes to mind, if they are not prepared to sell the item, what the hell is the point of having the damn thing on display?
Illogical explanations drive me nuts every time, and that is right up there with many other rubbish explanations I have heard.......

Bunnings Browns Plains was still selling them at $287 this morning but I ran into someone I know who works elsewhere in there (and has a Dad who's a woodworker) and after a chat we went and he rectified the system. So now there are only the 2050W GMC routers on special in that store. Now I've open and played with mine I see why they have such a great reputation.
Happy hunting.

None of the triton stuff was on sale....still full price.... except for their dremel type tool and a little orbital at 1/2 price which I nearly went for.

I have cranked the little beastie up, played with the variable speed. The soft start is a pleasant change to the Bosch & Ryobi's on or off. Now to wait till the Sydney show as I have no urgent need . . .

Just picked up the display model at McGraths Hill (out Windsor way, Sydney). No extras - great condition $79! Also the Jigsaw display model $80 (complete kit and case).
Woo Hooo!!! Can't wait to play.....

Well I got lucky, but not at Browns Plains, and not enough to share. After several drop ins to Bunnings stores I got the display one at Rocklea. All the accessories seem to be there including the manual which is a very good one, no box - and here is the crunch - one of the brushes and brush cover are missing. So I can't even fire it up to see if it runs. He said until last night they had several. Now I wish I'd got on the phone on wednesday...
Boy what a day. Very tired. Got a lump of New Guinea toona at Lazarides, it's a second and cost $12.35 for a 100 x 200 x 300 block. The service there is excellant. I was going to resaw it and join it into a 25 X 400 X 600 and practice carving a guitar top on it, but maybe it'll make better linings...dunno. Think about that tomorrow after I get a proper look at the grain.
Anyway good luck to you all...
Edit: Just to clarify if there had been more I'd have bought every one and distributed them through this forum at cost to me. That was what I was always going to do. $ was no problem. Unfortunately supply seems to be. As I said before if anyone sees any I'll underwrite your buying them, or if in SEQ get them on layby and I'll come over with $. Then we can pass them on to the needy I think we may be at the end of the tether though. If there are any left interstate and there is some way I can help facilitate their distribution to forum members let me know.

It's all just pure insanity, and Bunnings screwing Triton one last time.
Imagine Triton trying to sell any more of these after Bunnings finishes when people had seen them for $99, and then they are back at their full price?
Not that it stopped me buying one for my Dad though - I may be full of ideology, but I'm not made of money."Clear, Ease Springs"

Not sure what little Birdies have been whispering... I often hear the twitter well before most, but haven't heard a word about this, other than its availability.
