Triton 9 1/4
I'm sure this is probably been done to death but i'm in the market for a 9 1/4.
But has anyone had any real issues with there saw...is buring out decause of awful windings etc. I know its heavier than most other 9 1/4" on the market
but i like the way its designed. I want it for general work rather than upside down in Triton table.

Correct, it's been done to death.
Do a search and then just go and buy one.If at first you don't succeed, give something else a go. Life is far too short to waste time trying.

Sinjin,
when I sold the WC2000 I kept the Triton saw. It is a very good saw. Very good results when fitted with a good blade. I use a CMT 48 and a 36 tooth in mine and when slicing up sheets of ply the results are good. I then trim further on the table saw with 80 tooth blade. (CMT)
Regards
Les

I have 2, one setup for the workcentre and one for handheld use. It is very well made, a little heavy so probably not the best choice if you plan to have just the one saw but otherwise very powerful, easy to adjust and accurate.
I dont think you would ever regret getting one!You can never have enough planes, that is why Mr Stanley invented the 1/2s

It has more features than any other 235mm saw on the market. The best feature is the ability to adjust the bevel angle if required to provide a dead accurate 0 to 90deg setting. All other saws are relying on the accuracy of the manufacturing process. I even had an Hitachi saw that was not exactly 90deg at the zero setting and I had to file the channel out about 1mm.
Eas of Depth adjustment is also excellent and easy with this saw and has easy access when mounted under bench when you don't have a height winder kit fitted
At 2400w, it's at the top end of the power scale. When you consider that for 90% of the time it will be mounted in your workcentre, weight is not an issue and you want as much power as you can get.
