Looking foward to seeing the list go up.
I confess to bening somewhat of a Triton addict as I like the simplicity of their gear for those of us still on 'L plates' and with small workshop space.
Well done on securing the items Eagle!

Guys,
Just had an email from my shipping company and the container was delayed again!!! aaarrrgghhh!!
It was supposed to ship on the 22nd May and now wont leave until the 30th!! The shipping company doesnt know why but is investigating now. At the end of the day it wont make the stuff get here quicker!
Frustrating to say the least, apologies all for the extended wait.
Regards,Eagle

Sorry guys I don't get this.
Eagle by virtue of his previous posts is Peter Hoskings the former owner of GMC. Tell me how can someone who has had there company put into recievership, caused huge problems for staff and customers alike, and no doubt owes a fortune managed to get the stock for Triton and is now selling it on. Should this be allowed? The fact that there is a delay in shipping is an excuse from the GMC days of the past and I for one wouldn't trust it.
Is it just me?
Biggsy
PS Eagle, a couple of months ago I said that no one would want to buy GMC..you said "we'll see Biggsy"...looks like I was right!

In an email to me this afternoon, Peter Hoskings denied any connection with the surplus GMC/Triton stock. He sited the following companies as receiving surplus stock from the liquidators:
<style></style>Sontax (Eagle?), WA
Ghebreil Powertools, Campbellfield, Victoria
Bairnsadale Electrics, Bairnsdale, Victoria
and Carba-Tec, Queensland and New Zealand are also thought to have aquired some spares, nut this is not confirmed.
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.
Regards, Woodwould.

I have no idea if Eagle is a former director/owner of GMC, or if he is Peter Hoskings, but it should be fairly easy to find out.
Eagle, are you the aforementioned Peter Hoskings?
Were you a director or owner of GMC?
If you could clear up the confusion over these questions, I'm sure there will be a lot of happy people.

you got it mate, Im definately not Peter Hosking....not last time I checked anyway! Just a loyal former ex-employee!!
My status on here has never changed, I worked for GMC Triton and then lost my job. I was fortunate enough to have enough grey matter to see an opportunity to buy the accessories and spares at a reasonable price and acted on it. Yes I took a risk with no employment and yes I took a beating from the wife - but Im glad I had the balls to do it.
As for commenting on behalf of Peter Hosking in other posts all I can say is, I must have done a pretty good job for the man if he is still contacting me, he also knows I have a good rep on here which I have built up by trust and not lies.
It was delayed for whatever reason the shipping company wants to make up. It was picked up on time and didnt make the ship it was supposed to. Yes I am shipping it as its cheaper!
It will be here soon gents.
Thanks,Eagle

well you're wrong there mate. It was sold. The same company that bought Triton also bought GMC. I doubt you will ever see GMC back in OZ but it will continue in other countries under private labels as it always has. Look out for GMC products being licensed to other power tool companies like the 3 blade planer.

Onya Eagle, I really hope it works out for you.
I went through a receivership windup, as an employee, and it is a really ugly experience.Chris
