Default Triton Biscuit Joiner cutter disc

    Hi guys,
I'm in a bit of a pickle! I bought a second hand triton biscuit joiner off ebay as an add on for my router table. Only problem once I got it all set up I realised the cutting disc and arbor for the router were missing! I got in touch with the guy I bought it off, he had a look for me but he couldn't find it. Does anyone know of a suitable replacement or where I can get a replacement from? Even the cutter size would help. I've already contacted carba-tec in Melbourne and and another guy that sells triton stuff off ebay and they can't help.

    Cheers
    Dom

    Hi Domma,

Found this link, which gives the instructions fr the biscuit joiner and has the part numbers.

Not sure if it's any help to you.

Thanks Pauly, I've looked at that already and unfortunately it wasn't much help.

    Hi Dom

You may have already done so but. Did you check the end of the biscuit cutting machine as that is where they store the cutter when you pack the unit away.

    Cheers Warren.

One can also use a slot cutter (50mm diameter x 4mm thick) from CMT or Carbitool.

The cutter can be purchased from Toolsparesonline in the UK. Here's the link you need:

    Tool Spares Online. Search

They'll post it to you, I'm sure. Any probs, I'll get it for you and post it on.

Thanks guys for your help. I managed to get a Carbitool bit, so I'll whack it in the router tomorrow and I'll see how it goes!

Should be okay for Triton (prior to GMC period) used to get all their router bits from Carbitool.

    Peter.
From memory the Triton biscuit cutter bit was non-standard and could only be used with the Triton biscuits.

Don't know whether a standard biscuit cutter would work with the Triton and standard biscuits.

The cutter itself is 50mm diameter. Cutters for biscuit jointers are 100mm.
The 50mm cutter with 4mm slot thickness is pretty standard for router cutters.

The Triton uses special biscuts 38mmx 25mm? you can get these from Carbitec, not the triton ones but made by the same company that makes all the other ones.

It will also cut standard #20 biscuit slots in some situations. See ⅓ down this page.
