Triton chip chute
When rebating in the freehand mode with my MOF001, the amount of chips flying across the workplace has always been a pain. The vacuum hooked up to the dust chute picks up very little as the chips exit the bottom. Back in early 2015 I tried to buy an accessory called a chip chute the mounted below the router on base plate. It originally came with the TGA150 template kit that was/is no longer available. I posted "wanted" on this site in March 2015 and in the Router forum USA to no avail.
Every now and again I search sites looking for a second hand one.
Persistence paid off as I found Tritontools UK are now carrying the chute by itself brand new!
Just arrived today - I'll try it out tomorrow
Thanks Dennis - great service

It works great. It mounts via two of the screws that hold the plastic base plate on to the router. You can either mount it directly to the base plate or to the base plate under the long base plate ie. it sits under the long base plate with fence and the screws go through the long base plate into the base of the router. I will try and post some pictures next weekend as I'll have to pull the router out of the table.
Ray Girling has some pictures on his site.
Cheers

Lappa, a late follow-up.
The chute would seem to impede operations when routing overhead, and doesn't fit under a table. For what kind of operation do you use it ?
regards

I haven’t had the Triton out of the table for some time so haven’t used the chute for a while.
I mainly used it for edge or rebate work. The timber, if it wasn’t higher than the chute, had to have the side/edge off the table so the chute can hang down. The chute has slots so it can be set back to put some room between it and the timber. Side or rebate work was the operation that was the hardest to collect the chips without the chute.
