Default Triton circular saw bore diameter

Hi All, I've just managed to pick up a pre-loved WCA201 in excellent condition at a reasonable price. Now I need a saw. I was happy enough to plump for the TA235CSL, but noticed that it takes blades with a 30mm bore (according to the Triton website). I emailed Carbatec NZ, and they assured me that the ones they had in stock were 25mm. I haven't been able to get confirmation from Triton directly.

So, does the TA235CSL have a 25 or a 30mm bore? Has it changed at some point and is it just that Carbatec NZ have old stock, or are they confused and are they talking about the TSA001 (which is listed as having a 25mm bore).

    Cheers

The Triton site shows the TSA001 has a 25mm bore, and the 235CSL has a 30mm bore.
All 30mm bore saw blades that I have seen/used come with an insert that takes them down to 25mm if needed.

Thanks Chrism3. It's good to have confirmation that the Triton Website appears to disagree with the advice from Carbatec NZ.

To state my question more clearly, Triton say the 235CSL has a 30mm bore. Carbatec have told me that the ones they have in stock have a 25mm bore. Is this because at some point in the past the 235CSL was produced with a 25mm bore (and maybe Carbatec therefore have old stock?), or is Carbatec simply mistaken?

While we're at it has anyone who has actually used both the TSA001 and the 235CSL got strong opinions as to which is best and why?

    Cheers

Just to close this off, Carbatec NZ have stock of the TA235CSL from when it was first released. Definitely 25mm bore size. So, at some point since then Triton have converted over to a 30mm bore size. I have not been able to find out when or why. Just a point to be aware of if you are buying old stock or a second hand unit and especially wanted a 30mm bore.
