Default Triton Dust Bucket Cyclone Mod

Hi, don't suppose anybody knows where to get a copy of the above (pdf on line would suffice) please?

Had a copy, built the apparatus successfully, and stored the pdf on hard disk. Disk died didn't it. The printout was in orange print and that has faded considerably over the years, May need to make another one up so an original would be greaty id possible.

    Here's hopin'!

We placed the details in the library.

In post no 1 there is the link to the video down load and post no 3 the link to a diagram on how I made it.

The original thread with further comments is here.

I hope the further info helps.

I went to Bunnings today to look for the pipe fittings, and came away a bit confused.
The pipe that I saw that fitted 33mm ID joiners was 25mm ID & 33mm OD, yet the pdf instructions say to get 25mm OD pipe. I didn't see any 25mm OD pipe.

I'm also puzzled by sometinhg else in the instructions. They say to grind just the lugs off two CMA033 bayonet fittings. But when I look at pictures 3 & 4 in the instructions (and the diagram) I do not see CMA033's with just lugs cut off. CMA033's are longer than that, and angled. So have they been cut off before the angle? Does the cut off CMA033 go over the 25mm pipe? If so, the ID of my CMA033 is 32mm, so the pipe can't be 25mm OD.
Can someone who has made one according to the instructions check a few measurements please?

    G'Day Chris,
Not meaning to be rude but there is a heap of difference better standard SWV pipe and the class 9 thru class class 12 pressure pipe.
If Bunnings doesn't have it maybe a local plumbing supplies can help.
Below is an extract from Sturdee "original thread" which will help.
I had to read through it twice.
    Cheers, crowie

And the other question that is mainly asked is about the pipe used and my reply:

The plastic pipe referred to is available from Bunnings in their plumbing department. It is not the standard drainage pipe but the (high pressure) water supply pipe. It has a different OD than the drainage pipe as it has thicker pipe walls.

Hence the pipe has an 25mm ID and approx 33mm OD and the joiners have an 33mm ID and 40mm OD.

THe OD of the joiner fits neatly into the holes in the dustbucket lid and the OD of the pipe fits neatly into the ID of the Triton hose fittings. Hence the selection of the water pressure pipe.

The ID of a standard ( ) vac hose slides over the 25mm pipe, at least mine does.

    Crowie,
thanks, yes I do recall reading that, and I saw that pipe. So the list on page 4 of the instructions which says that the pipe is 25mm OD must be wrong. But it still looks as if I have to push the 32mm bayonet ID fitting over 33mm OD pipe. Since the rigid pipe isn't going to give I hope the bayonet fitting does.
I'm nervous about destoying my bucket lid until I know I have parts that will fit.
    regards
    Chris

I have just measured the pipe on mine and it is 32mm External diameter and the Triton hose fits neatly over that. The joiner that is 32mm internal diam is approx 40mm external diam and that fits into the bucket lid

From memory the pipe that you need is a nominal 25mm internal diameter.

    Hope that helps
    Tom

    Thanks Chesand.
I have some 32mm OD electrical duct, and the Triton bayonet fitting is a nice tight fit over that, so I'm still querying whether the bayonet will fit over 33mm OD pipe, which is what Bunnings now sell for 25mm ID pressure pipe.
    regards

The Triton hose should be a good fit without the bayonet fitting. Otherwise a couple of winds of duct tape round the pipe should do the trick

Re-reading both the pdf article and Sturdee's original post, it now seems clear that the pdf writer used 25mm OD pipe, while Sturdee says to use 25mm ID pipe. That's how i got confused.
It also looks like Triton CMA083's were used, not CMA033.
I'll just use what I can find that fits together.
