Triton Dust Bucket questions
I have 2 questions about the Dust Bucket. The answer to the second may depend on the answer to the first:
1) What is the particle rating on the filter on the bucket? It may be fine for sawdust, but I want to attach my sander to a vacuum, and am not sure if the bucket filter will trap the small particles.
2) When using the bucket, is it safe/recommended to remove the bag and other filters in the vacuum?
In order to maximise suction, I want to remove as many original filters off my vacuum as possible. My vacuum has 3 filters: 1) the bag, 2) a pre-filter at the motor intake, and 3) a foam-type filter at the motor "exhaust"? Adding the dust bucket makes a 4th filter. First thing I want to remove is the exhaust filter, but if possible, all 3, to maximise my power.
Is this safe? Or will I blow myself up?

John, before buying the Carbatec dust collector, (see hand tools and machinery), I used the triton dust bucket around my workshop. It served its purpose for a while, I would advise agains the removal of the pre-filter and dust bad, I found that no matter how good the bucket was, some fine dust particles tended to seep around the edge of the bucket filter and end up in the Vaccum.
You must remember that all your vaccum system does is create an area of low pressure with-in the bucket which inturn draws the air(and dust) from the exhaust of the saw/router/etc.
as long as you have the air supply passing through you vaccum cleaner, things should be OK, but remember, you may have to clean the filters in you cleaner every time you empty the dust bucket.
KevI try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it
