TritonJapan great news. Where is the factory located.?
Where can I get hold of some of the plastic bits associated with the Saw Chassis?
I managed to buy a new height winder kit but would love to restore my spare chassis to the layout/design without the height winder. to do this I need.
WCA408 Red Plastic Bearing spacers (2)
WCA416 Steel Chassis brace (1)
* These are the parts that you remove when and if you are installing the Triton Height Winder
Also need
WCA417 Triton saw Nylon alignment cams x 2
CMA024 Red Nylon Saw positioning clamps x 4
Parts diagram and list.

Can they be sourced elsewhere?
Yes Festoolis some good stuff but at twice the price. I quite like Triton Gear and there tools are great. I know own a full set of stuff (Cost over 1,200) Only part missing is the Router Table to fit on the stand That's next and then I am hopefully set.
I am looking forward to Triton's resurrection and would love to see a dedicated Triton shop that can sell the bits and pieces (Spares). Spare Service and supplies is not Bunnings speciality service store. Mitre 10 seem to do a better job at service then Bunnings. Still Bunnings' run-out stock sales can be great. A full WCA201 sold out NEW (Display Stock for $150 on Wednesday. I missed that one. But picked up a couple of routers cheap.
I still think Triton should look at the direct sales option if they are re-starting.. It is a model that is well suited to their high end products.
Never did see their Planner on the market. Was meant to be released this year.

That's what used to be before it was bought by GMC. You could call in and buy the spare parts at their factory or order by phone. The staff at the spare parts section knew all about the spare parts and their availability and gave prompt service.
That's what made Triton stuff so popular for their service and spare parts were the best around. Hope the new ones will get back to that strategy. If so their future is certain, if not they are wasting their money.
Peter.

Sounds like NSW Bunnings needs to do some serious rethink on its stock.I saw two WC 2000 at Bunnings here in Victoria selling for $400.00 NEW and that includes the Height Winder Kit.
I am very much looking forward to a professional Spare parts speciality shop. It would be great to buy the little plastic bits they go missing and or get worn out. The Guys at GMS I spoke to never got back. I am sure they must be some spare parts left. Was told a Mitre 10 Store bought the sparesBut not sure which one. Maybe the one in Geellong. I would love some alignmnet cams and lock down nuts. But thanks to Mitre 10 in Doncaster East I manage to find a new Height Winder kit which means my saw is back in working roder at least. ...

The factory is in the Northern suburbs however they are a purely manufacturing setup and are not in a position to ferret through the parts they have. Once the green light is on however, parts should be able to flow.
Ironically, I have thrown away tens of sets of the above parts over the years. Each time I installed a height winder kit. Used to keep the parts thinking they would come in handy one day then had a change in mindset.
If it was for your own use, most of these you could make up out of some scrap, and it would be cheaper than the genuine thing. As for the WCA417, I hated the things and never used them. Much preffered aligning the saw without them.
You may be lucky and find someone like my old self who doesn't throw anything away.
Steve
P.S. I fully agree, Festool have some wonderfully engineered tools. I always made a point of seeking them out at wood shows around the world. Very clever tools, designed for the professional. If I could justify the cost, for my hobby, would have a set.

My Triton exposure these days is now down to a respirator, which needs regular spares, and the big router (and table).
What are the chances of both of these item spares being available in the future?
Fortunately friends in Oz. have helped me out in the past for items.woody U.K.

I have managed to turn my "spare" slide with the broken height winder attachment into a second hand tray only upgraded chassis by drilling a hole into the height adjustment "u" frame and fixing it into position. The reason I prefer the original is if and when I sell it it is best to keep things in good order
I would love some lock down nuts and the cross support bracket that is normally thrown away would be nice. So Festool use the same technology. Great I will give them a call. With four more lock down nuts I can have two slide chassis connected to two saws. I would also like to use the lock down connectors on my Router slide. They are much better then the metal wing nut jobs.
I hope they get a speciality parts store up and running ASAP. That will go along way to maintaining confidence in their comeback. Thanks again. Your participation in the forum is well appreciated. Where is the factory located? I live in the northern suburbs.

Whoops
Knockonwood,
Sorry if my post implied that Festool used same technology. Their systems are very different.
Was saying they make great products, biggest difference between Festool and Triton is that Festool are designed and manufactured for professional use, whereas Triton was and always has beed designed for hobby use.
In a sense, Festool have it easier in that they only need to make products that integrate with other Festool products. So long as they stick to the one standard, easy peasy. Triton is adaptable fo almost any maker's saw or router.

Over the weekend here in South Africa (land of the Rugby World Cup holders) we had our annual Hobby-X show where Triton had quite a big stand. The two demonstrators were going full tilt and creating a lot of attention. They seem to think that supply will start coming through fairly soon.
Cheers

Any news re Triton/GMC?
I am pretty off with toolpete. I emailed him a while back in regard to parts required due to them being missing (sealed boxes from bunnings), he asked to list these parts and I did. Now he doesn't respond, how rude

I've noticed that there are plenty of grumblings about Triton on this forum with regards to the take over/buy out and the lack of communication.
Now I wonder how many of their customers are actually forum literate. In other words, if you aren't on this forum would you even be aware of the Triton saga? Perhaps they are hoping that the general public is blissfully unaware of the recent troubled times and once the new stock is on the shelved, frenzy purchasing will once again resume.
Perhaps not.......Cheers

Triton Spare Parts available shortly ...
I received the following response from Triton today in response to my request for an update on the spare parts situation.
"Shortly a buyer for all of the triton spare parts will be determined, once this decision has been made it will be posted on the website, from then on triton parts will once again become available from this store."
