Default Triton Mach 3 or 2000 workcentre

I'm a bit of a house renovator who started out with lots of gmc and xu1 tools to flog to death and learn a bit on. However over the last couple of years I have been upgrading and would like to try my hand(s) at a bit of furniture. I would appreciate anyones opinion on which is better a mach 3 or 2000 workcentre. Pro and cons of both would be nice as there is one of each for sale locally secondhand. The mach 3 has both router and saw adaptors and a slide table (not a stand) but the 2000 only has the circular saw adaptor but is a fair bit cheaper.

    Thanks for any advice provided.

    hi trihardandy

as an owner of both the mk3 and 2000 series there is no question as to which one i would buy. however your choice perhaps would come from how much money you would like to spend and how far you would like to take making furniture.

as i said i have both models and i still use the mk3 for particular types of cuts, as i have made several jigs for it, what i can suggest is you have a look at them both and check tritons web site and look at the specs, maybe this will help you make up your mind on which one to buy,
but either way welcome to the land of triton and i hope you get a lot of enjoyment, from them. i would love to show you my latest project but i just cant work out how to get a dame pic on this forum,

    regards
    al

I'm new to the 2000, saw and router (months). Just toys for me . I don't make money from wood.

I'm impressed with the engineering on my 2000. The only problems were operator error.

I've got some pics in another thread on this forum "Workbench on WC".

If I had to make money out of wood, I'd have spent more  but i'm happy with the Triton gear. top line for toys
