Default Triton Mk111 and Makita 235 saw.

Trying to fit my makita saw to the slide plate of the Triton Mk111. The slide plate on this particular model to small for the plate on the bottom of the saw. How do I rectify this problem to fit the saw. Triton Serial number 129906. Don't know if that helps. The Makita is an older model but always reliable.

Maybe a photo. I have a triton mkIII and initial saw was a makita owned by a builder so circa 15 year old. When this saw finally died I replaced it with a makita and still going today. Has to be pre 2000 saw so not sure why you have issues.
    Cheers

All good. Watched an old 1984 video and re-read manual.. Extended plate by loosing nuts and bolts on the side of the plate. Now fits well. Thanks
