    Default Triton respirator

    Hello,

My old Triton respirator finally had it - breathing tube deteriorated and I currently have what's left of it and 2 adapters with completely stuffed intrawall area where tubes was attached to (glued I am guessing).
Outer diameter of adapters is 40.5 mm.
Could anyone offer advice how to fix it? Perhaps replace it all together with something?

    Thank you

Maybe consider upgrading to a ducted dust extraction system?

I also have a Triton Respirator but only use it outside the shed for things like cutting up bricks and limestone blocks, eradicating wasps nests, and sanding inside the house etc. In the shed a decent dust extraction system not only keeps the shed much cleaner but means not needing to wear a mask.

Well, I have it all and just want to fix Triton. Even though I might sell it in the future, it should be fixed before, imho

I don't have one, but if the problem is gluing then I recommend Selleys All Plastics glue - it does a good job on all plastics.

    Hi Kolosom1,
I had the same problem with the air tube, so I replaced it with twin CPAP tubes. A pine adaptor was made to connect each end to the triton screw-on fittings. It has been used for a few years and still no leaks or cracks.
All the details ,drawings, pics were posted on this forum a few years ago, so a search might find them. Rob

Bunnings sell sullage pipes that might be the right diameter. The cheapest one is $10 I think. If you can salvage the end fittings that might work.
