Triton Router Problem
Have had the big fella for a while in a table setup.
Recently did some hand routing with it (put the spring back in etc) and have since returned it to the table.
Problem I am having now is that it doesn't want to raise smoothly by turning the big knob one handed, I have to support the weight of the router with my other hand for it to raise. Yes I have removed the spring again.
Anyone had this problem before?

It probably just needs a good clean, especially the bushes through which the plunge pillars ride. I wrote a web page specifically to deal with this, which can be found here.
BigShed had a similar problem which was completely cured after following the instructions on the page.
N.B: I added the dismantling of the winding handle after a request for me to do so, but you can safely leave that in the router - just make sure it's mechanism gets a good brush (or blow) clean.

All good
Sorry about the slow reply, I work away and didn't get the chance to sort it out for a while. The procedure was excellent and it now works a charm. Really appreciate the advice.
