triton table top doesn't fit in crosscut mode
Hi. Recently picked up a workcentre 2000 & am setting it up. My saw is the smallest size, and when i try to set it up for crosscut mode, i can't fit the table top inside. I tried loosing the 4 nuts on the legs, and used some timber to lever the body apart. There still isn't enough room.
Suggestions?
Should i file out some more space for the bolts, or will that interfere with measurements?
Should i undo the bolts on the aluminium bearing channels on the top?

Look at this picture:
The table fits by engaging in two lugs - the slots can be seen in both the table sides and the alloy cross-cut mode bearers. If the table fits correctly in the conventional rip mode, then it seems that the front and back of the table are angling in towards the bottom - a virtual impossibility if everything is in the right place.
Measure accurately the distance between the two top slots and the two bearer slots. The measurements should be identical and it would help to know how far out they are.
You can see from this picture how the table should fit:
Here's a link to a manual I've put up for you to download if you don't have it. HTH
