    Talking Triton in Tassie

G'day all. Well, I have been reading for a while in various sites about triton clubs and am rapt to find so many other devotees to the "orange sawdust system". I notice with some envy that there are triton clubs all over. For some reason there isnt one in Tassie. Damn!

Okay, so I'll flamin' well start one.

    Anyone in Tassie interested?

If so, please E-mail me at [email protected]. I would love to here from you!!! I intend to kick off here in Hobart, sometime after I get all the stuff togetther and find out what is involved. I am getting a certain amount of assistance from some of the other clubs (thankyou one and all most heartily!)
but could use a little help here for the leg work etc and geting the basics off the ground so we can call a first meeting and officially start.

Again, all comers welcome, all help greatfully accepted and all prayers heartily requested.

    Rob

This post is mainly to keep this at the front so that locals will see it. So to those that that may annoy. To all the tassie tritoneers, just to update you, things re progressing nicely, Surprisingly Triton are most generous intheri assistance. They wont do it for me, but they are willing to assist with just about anything else!

Looks like insurance shouldnt be aproblem, have a tentative venue, possibilities for affiliation with one of a couple of other clubs, a GOOD instructor for the triton and several other benefitsfrom various sources.

This thing IS going to happen.

Guaranteed membership of FOUR so far. Might be a small club LOL.

I will post details here of first meeting

Anyone down round Hobart and surrounds, drop me a line if you are interested.

    Cheers,

    Rob

Well, things are happening. Sorry it is taking a while. It looks like the first meeting will be the third tuesday in January next year. The reason for that is that by the time we got a first meeting this year, things would go stale over the holiday season and stall.

So, Tritoneers past present and future, Stick it in your diaries. My Email is in earlier posts, if you want more drop me a line...

    Cheers,

    Rob

Default Any news re Tassie Triton club

    Hi,

I tried to email you directly Rob, but the mail bounced back from Bigpond.

Have there been any further developments with setting up a Triton club in Hobart?

In contact with Rob today. He has moved houses and should be back online soon.

G'day all, long time no type. I am still alive, but had a major disagreement with she who probably have been obeyed. Anyway, thats a former restriction now so...

Hopefully, now that all that is pretty well sorted out, I can get back to where I was at and crack into a few of teh lumps of lumber I have lying around.

I will have to get hold of Gordon and (after profuse apologies) try to get the club into the offing again.

    Sorry for the delays fellas.

    Rob

Default Another Tassie Triton Owner here

    Hi

Can you add my e-mail to the list for up and coming progress to the Tassie Triton Users / Owners group - I'm in Devonport but willing to travel (sometimes). There's another chap not far from here that I know owns a Triton and has a good setup, though am yet to see it myself.
If you are looking for more people to be involved with this, perhaps the local Triton rep can help? Maybe they know of people that have Tritons that are willing to be a part of your group.

Also letting the hardware stores know about the group may be a good idea - they might pass the details on to anyone buying a Triton or Triton accessory.

I got the 2000, the Triton Saw, the Triton Router, the Router Table, and the dust collection bucket. Am considering the planer attachment now, but might buy a jointer instead....
Very happy with the products, still have all my fingers...
    Adam.
