    Default Triton training dvd

I opened up my Triton training DVD but it does not seem to cover the triton router.

I am at the moment attempting to make rectangular patterns on my tissue boxes, inlay work and banding and want to use the router and fence set up in hand held mode.

Anyone got the details or a link to using the triton router and fittings at that set up please?

    Default George's strength

One of the keys to the success of the Triton range was George's ability to gather and present information on how to do woodwork for beginners.

The Triton Routers weren't added to the range until George had sold the company, and so his skillset was no longer as readily available for the videos. He did periodically update some footage after selling the company.

The techniques you are describing are going to be pretty similar for any type of router, so perhaps raise your question in one of the routing forums.

When using a router hand held with a fence, always remember to work in the direction that will pull the fence toward the timber, otherwise your cuts will drift toward the outer edge.

You can screw or clamp stop blocks to a timber sub fence you screw tot he Triton Router fence, which can give you more accuracy. Otherwise, think of using templates and template guide bushes.

Thanks Steve for your reply, and soon as our local heat wave cools off I will get back in to the workshop and back on the project. We are getting exceptional hot temps. here in the UK at the moment.

    Hi John,

    This should help you out

    Router Inlay Kit
    InlayKit PDF
    Amazon.co.uk - Pioneer-Brass-Inlay-Kit

You will also need the Triton Template Kit or make your own plate to secure the Inlay Kit to the router
    Triton-Template-Guide-Kit-TGA001 - Ebay
Triton Template Guide Kit - Amazon
The kit for the 1400W router has everything in it for the 2400W router (but not visa versa).
