Wild Dingo
I have a triton 2000 workcentre and I can tell you it for me it is a far better proposition than so called quality c.i. table saws.
I have gone back to the triton because it was more accurate and less prone to failures. When you find you have to alter your c.i. table saw fence repeatedly after you have made cuts to get accurate measurements , you would then appreciate the attributes of Triton.
Perhaps you were not meticulous enough when setting up your machine.woody U.K.

Hey there jow mate I dont have any serious problems with the workcentre... just appeared to be flimsy and rather week when I looked at it... theres definantly a market for them as seen by the numbers out there and the passion of the owners!
But it was that appearance of flimsy weekness that decided me on a dedicated table saw. And Im glad I did... I love my table saw!
I have no problem with Triton I was just havin a lend of himBelieve me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

wild dingo.
Nice to hear your reply, but writing about flimsyness!!!
A cast iron table top is usually these days fastened down to a tin box with 4 screws!!!!!!!!!!
So if a Daewoo hit the table top the tin box underneath would look very unhappy or the c.i. top would probably land on your opposite coast.woody U.K.

aaahhh jow ol mate... tis truely an inspirational and imaginative conversation we have going here eh?
Now Id believe you mate... one problem... if a daewoo hit the ts said daewoo would end up in the legendary Wongo my brother from anouther mothers east coast bedroom  while the ts wouls remain firmly ensconsed to the floor by its dynabolts said daewoos bein made of plastic and such other rubbish...
on t'uther 'and mate Id be more inclined to believe you if you had said it was a F100 or or old Landrober or Landcruiza that clobbered said ts... but a daewoo???
ohh and the fence? thats why I got an Incra... problem solveredBelieve me there IS life beyond marriage!!! Relax breathe and smile learn to laugh again from the heart so it reaches the eyes!!

Exciting new development
I'm helping my mother-in-law build a deck and after one frustrating day using her new Ryobi SCMS I took to the three bent bits of my WC2k with a mallet and a couple of lengths of scrap jarrah and after about half an hour of not so gentle bashing I got the WC back into a functional shape! I've put it back together and it's stands square and is cutting fine in table saw mode (adjusting the crosscut mode table height is still a bit stuffed though). I had a blissful day tritoneering again on Sunday.
I'd also like to publicly recommend Stuart for legend status for helping me so much with this - thanks again Stuart.
Make mine a Triton!

Much appreciated Todd, but I won't be happy until we have your Triton looking like new, so will still be chasing this up.
My contact at Triton and I wanted to apologise for the damage done to the Daewoo by the superior, Australian built Triton
