Default Trying to align Maxi Extension Table's measuring scales

Hello everyone, I'm an inexperienced woodworker and new here, but I've been buying and using Triton tools for a couple of years now and I really like them. I already had a Workcentre 2000 when someone advertised two more Workcentres with one Maxi Extension Table and some other stuff. I really only wanted the extension table, but he wouldn't sell it separate and the price was pretty good, so I bought the whole lot, thinking I could always sell off the other stuff I didn't need. As it turns out I'm now using those two workcentres because they both came with wheels and the one I'd bought earlier is folded and on its end, but if I had room I could put my other saw in and use all three. Maybe one day...

Anyway, I'm battling to get the extension table's scales aligned with the standard workcentre fence as per the instructions. Is there anything I should be looking out for? I've loosened the nylock nuts and even when I move the inner track as far towards the workcentre as it will go the scales are still about 6 mm out as far as I can see.

OK, never mind, I got that one sorted out. Turned out the outer track was set too low, so the sliding table wasn't level, so the 500 mm mark on the scale wasn't right below the standard fence. Thought it was because the ground on which the table was standing, outside in the driveway, wasn't quite level, so I shimmed up the one outer leg with a couple of pieces of scrap and voilà, it was as close as I think I can hope to get it with all the moveable parts that make up a workcentre and its extension table! Set up the measurement I wanted and put the first large piece of shutter ply on the table to make the cut. About halfway into the cut I realised the board was moving with difficulty and the workcentre was moving forward under it, and, like always when that happens I realised I'd forgotten to fold up that wonderful set of wheels! Flipped them up, kicked out the shims and the table was much steadier and more level than before!

Sorry for having wasted anyone's time, but I'm afraid that kind of thing happens a lot with me, so if that'll be a problem for you maybe you should just scroll past when you see my name...
