Default Workcentre care - pase wax or silber gleit

Im finding that wood isnt sliding very well and I’ve removed a bit of paint of my workcentre

Wondering what others have done to address this, and from what i can see its either paste wax or SG - can anyone provide a recommendation?

Hi, I use the SG on both my Band Saw and Router tables but both are cast iron and maybe different to what you have. I redo them about once a month and the timber just glides over the tables. Have never used paste wax so can not comment on that. Cheers Brian.

Are you talking about a Triton Workcentre?

If so I use Silber Gleit on mine with no issues. I also use it on my jointer, thicknesser and lathe beds. One tub will last you years but it can melt and separate out in prolonged hot weather. Mine lives in the shed fridge with the various other consumables
Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

By "...various other consumables..." one is obviously referring to other lubricating fluids, nothing more one presumes !!!

Great thanks gents, I wasn’t sure if sibler gleit was only for cast or if it was suitable for powder coated surfaces too.
