    Default 2 more gems saved from pergatory.

    Went to an auction Thursday night and picked up these two sorry items. A 2" firmer chisel covered in paint and rust, and a Falcon 9".

    Took them home, took the wire brush to the chisel to expose the makers name.

    Plane actually took decent shaving without even touching the oilstone, but gave it a hit anyways, can always be sharper.

    Very happy. For a $14.00 outlay I get to add a Falcon 9" to go with my Falcon 4 1/2 and 5, and a 2" Sorby firmer chisel.

    Nice work, that plane looks like a geat user. What kind of auction was that though/ I've never seen anything like that go under the hammer on this side of the country, it's normally propping the door open.
