Very nice Gerry. Is there any chance you could attach a few more photos showing the detail of your work? The current photos showing the profile are nice but I'd love to see more.

    Regards,

    Denim

Nice Plane, could you take some close-up pics?

    Thanks,

    Thanks guys,
I confess to showing the best side, the other side has some hammer blows that went a stray. Watching Ron Breze short videos was an eye opener as to how he deos this. Thanks Ron. I have still some more work on the timber to remove file marks as you will see, it took some trial and error as to the fit of the front bun and the handle, I found what files and rasps work on the ebony for me and they are the Japanese rasps they worked a treat and are reasonably affordable. The other thing to note was when lapping the sides and bottom I found the 275 sandpaper from the sandpaperman cut well and for longer. This paper is common in the auto trade. I only went to 180 grit as the sanding lines look like timber grain, for me anyway.
