Default 25 bucks worth of chisels

I got these a while ago from some op-shops.
    The first 4 are titans.
I've had a go at doing a new handle on the second one but I'll need to start again.
    The fifth is a Berg.
Sixth I can't read the logo's but they are there.
The Seventh is "someone taylors", (doesn't look like henry thou), also has stampings on the other side of blade as well.

I'll see if I can get a macro of the last 2's logo's.

I'll have to learn how to replace the handles as you can see I mucked up one already

And all for 25 bucks, I got my bargain for this year.

If anyone wants to give me some tips on making new handles and fitting them, please do so.

You have got your $25 worth. Good names and well worth some work to get back in shape. Some of the handles dont look too bad. The berg is a sure saver. Have a bit of a search in handtools and the turning sections for handle advice. Some of the metal ferrules could be cleaned up and reused too.

ps. old thread of some old chisels I cleaned up.

    Thanks Toby,

I guess you need to know the marks and then they stick out like dogs.
There is marks on the other side.
but I can't read them either.
I can get the BLA on the bottom line.

    You guys are amazing.
Now I have something to go look up and read about.

Should I just sand then to a useable state?
Or electrolysis them to clean the rust in the logo
Or do the molasses dip to clean them?

    Thanks Peter

Corro-Dip, or vinegar, or a fine wire wheel on a grinder.

Matheson, now that is pointed out I can make out the moon and star logo. That makes it the pick of the bunch as they are hard to find. Still see some old planes by them and the irons are worth getting hold of even if the wood body has had it. Very good find.
