    Default 3 Old Chisels.

    Hi All,
Bought these a fair while ago.
They are in the Rectangular Mode. I have Highly Polished them
    Handles are in Black Oak.
I think they are made by Greaves.forum pic.JPG

    Default The Handles.

    Hi Again,
Made a small blunder on the Wood of the Raffan Style Handles.
This Family have a few acres of rareish Trees.
The Fallen ones I got were Black She Oak, about 120mm. Dia.
Had the pieces for almost 2yrs. now, but this kind of Tree, Split from one end to the other.
Quite OK for Handles & such.
As you can also see, my Ferrals? are Allum.Chair & Copper Pipe.
    Polished they look rather good.
The Turning Chisels are of course Carbon Steel, & work very well.
I now have 7 all told, of this Design.
    Regards,
    issatree.

"Ferrules", Issatree, but since the 'fer' part comes from the Latin for 'iron', not sure at all what we should call ferrules made from aluminium, copper, or brass!

Disregarding semantics, you've done a nice job on them...

Ian, I've seen a few feral ferrules hammered on to handles.
    Cheers,
