Hi Sinjin
I'm curious - why are you looking for a #5-1/2 or #6? To the point, how do you see it fitting into your range of planes, and the specific purpose you hope it will deal with?
Regards from Perth

Well, Derek, The main reason is i'm making a pile of doors. 38mm thick. So a number 5 would fine i guess. But i think the extra width would be nice and the length would be great.

Veritas do a 5 1/4 which is meant to be pretty good. There was a plane review in AWW last month and the LN won it Veritas did allright but the writer wasn't keen on its mechanisms complexity. The Clifton I don't think impressed the writer much.
