Default Accessory Blades for the Veritas Small Plow

This is a short pictorial on setting up the Small Plow to cut T&Gs. This is a new-to-me plane, and I took a few pics as I was working out the kinks and having a little play. I hope this helps some of you.

Hi Derek just curious but the photo under

"Step Three: The sliding skate will be attached to the body, with the long brass screw (called the Clamping Knob) replacing the blade guide knob"

to the left of the brass screw it looks like theres a crack in the casting? Is this just a stay bit of hair or dust etc or is there actually an issue

    regards

    Hi Andrew

..mmm ... not sure. I did not see a crack - I'm pretty positive it is not one. May just be a hair. I will check it out later.

Later: not a crack ... it looks as though a hair was caught in the paint. It is no longer there. Indeed, it is hardly noticeable in the flesh. The shadow picks it up in the photo. We can move on now.

    Smile Thanks!

    Derek,

Again, thanks for taking the time with showing these terrific tools.

Please consider a video of this in action. The stuff on YouTube at the moment doesn't cover the new additions and it would be great to see these in action. Seeing Chris Schwarz in action with the Veritas standard small plough whetted my appetite in a massive way.

    Hi Craig

I have no doubt that Lee Valley will soon have a video up on their website - you do know that they have videos of their planes in use?

    Lee Valley Tools - Videos

I have not given thought to making a video before. It would help to have a video camera, I guess!
