A good old quality Marples 2" chisel which will take a fair bit of a pounding... not like the things today.

Oooooooo, isn't THIS exciting ! $19.50 ! Thanks Harry ....And Steve (which ones you ? ) ....8 bids already !

 ....yeh, I'm kinda confused too. This sellers a complete bloody idiot. Why would that dope make it a 7 day auction ?....Bad enough that he's trying to selling a priceless tool like that for only 10 bucks.......Poor bugga's going to get ripped off. I wouldn't have any problem buying that chisel for $80. I saw one the other day on that Hans Brunner site. According to a mate of his, their rarer than Stanley #1's ! ........and why the hell's he wearing a jumper ! the big blouse.

Seriously, why shouldn't he make it a 7 day auction ?:

    Am not !

It was hard enough agonising over a starting price, Ian, let alone working out a buy it now price. What do you think the buy it now price should be ?

    Oh, Jake--great thread.

I almost asked a question on the eBay listing:

"Hi. I'm new to all these tool things. How heavy is this chisel?
    Thank you, Mike"

But thought maybe a real bidder might not think it is as funny as I obviously did.

    Take care, Mike
