Allen Taylor - Gumleaf Hammer Handles WA?
I had this little cross pein head lying around for a good few years (I suspect it is just a Chinese one) but with the girls workbench ready for use I thought it would be a good size for them (250mm total length).
Anyway to cut to the query, I went looking for a handle to fit and came by these old stock handles at a local joint that looked really nice, like the mallet ones that use to be made down in Cuballing. I am not sure what the timber is but it is very hard, long grained but not overly heavy (it could be mallet). I have never seen the maker before which surprised me as I do tend to grab old stock handles when I find them as I know no-one over here makes them any more and those on offer in the big stores are generally second grade rubbish.
Does anyone know of Allen Taylor and have any information as to when he was making handles and what became of his business?
Unfortunately these were the only handles the joint had as I would love some the next size up to re-handle some ball pein hammers as well.

Thanks hiroller, google gave me nothing, I am amazed it was such a big company. I had figured it was a little backyard handle maker from WA. Could be the handle is spotted gum then. Might go back and grab the other couple that they had at the shop.
Handle making would have been the first thing Boral ditched, to small for them. I wonder what happened to their tooling?
